Wayne Goss Brush 1 Alternative!!!

Let me begin this post by telling you all that I love Wayne Goss. For those who do not know who he is, you should check him out on YouTube, because he revolutionises the way we can do our makeup. He is super talented and incredibly lovely. 

He's been on YouTube since 2009 and has over 100million views to his name, and like most successful beauty guru's out there, he has turned his talents to creating his own line of brushes etc. Perfect example of this is Sam Chapman from Pixiewoo and her line of Real Techniques tools. 

But the major difference between these two gurus is the direction the both have taken with their brand. 

Where Sam Chapman went for more affordable brushes which probably had a lower manufacturing cost, Wayne Goss went to the higher end scale of both pricing and manufacturing. 

His brush set, pictured below, is priced at $210 which is roughly €182. 

If you were to break down each of the 8 brushes and sell them equally they would be $26.25 or €19 thereabouts.

The problem is, in a perfect world they aren't all priced equally!

I really wanted to try out these brushes. Brush one in particular caught my eye because of its uniqueness, but I don't have $210 to shell out just for one brush. 

When he released them individually, the brush was priced as $45 or €33 and I was still a bit dubious about buying it for that price too. 

The beauty community was going crazy about how amazing this brush was and I was weighing up whether I would buy this or not until I came across a dupe for it! 

The Ecotools Skin Perfecting brush is €8.99 from Boots so it's a lot more affordable.

As you can see from the picture it is similar. It is a bit taller, which means that it is less densely packed then the Wayne Goss brush, but this makes it easier to apply lighter coverage of foundation if desired. It is perfectly shaped in an angle helping you get into all the areas on your face and you could also use it as a contour brush for dramatic contouring.

Obviously the quality probably isn't comparable, but with the Ecotools brush, you can go in and buy it straight away, spending less than €10. It is more favourable on your pocket too! 

In the future, I probably will buy some of Wayne Goss' brushes, but until then, I will be more than happy with The Ecotools Skin Perfecting brush, and I know I will be purchasing a few more for my kit.
